The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations will conduct an accreditation survey of Sierra View District Hospital-Porterville in 2010. The purpose of the survey will be to evaluate the organization's compliance with nationally established Joint Commission standards. The survey results will be used to determine whether, and the conditions under which, accreditation should be awarded the organization. Joint Commission standards deal with organization quality, safety-of-care issues, and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. Anyone believing that he or she has pertinent and valid information about such matters may request a public information interview with the Joint Commission's field representatives at the time of the survey. Information presented at the interview will be carefully evaluated for relevance to the accreditation process. Requests for a public information interview must be made in writing and should be sent to the Joint Commission. The request must also indicate the nature of the information to be provided at the interview.

The Joint Commission's Office of Quality Monitoring will acknowledge, in writing or by telephone, requests received 10 days before the survey begins. An Account Representative will contact the individual requesting the public information interview prior to survey, indicating the location, date and time of the interview and the name of the surveyor who will conduct the interview. This notice is posted in accordance with the Joint Commission's requirements and may not be removed before the survey is complete. complaint@jcaho.org

En 2010, la Comisión Conjunta para la Acreditación de Organizaciones de Salud (the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) conduciráuna encuesta para acreditar a Sierra View District Hospital.
El objetivo de esta encuesta seráevaluar el cumplimiento de la organización con los estándares establecidas nacionalmente por dicha Comisión. Los resultados de la encuesta se usarán paradeterminar si, y las condiciones bajo las cuales, la acreditación deba ser concedida a la organización.
Los estándares de la Comisión Conjunta tratan con la calidad de la organización, la seguridad del cuidado médico y la seguridad del entorno en el cual se proporciona el cuidado médico. Cualquier persona que piense que tiene alguna información válida y pertinente sobre los asuntos mencionados, puede solicitaruna entrevista de información pública con los representantes de campo de la Comisión Conjunta en el momento que se lleve a cabo la encuesta. La información que se presente en la entrevista seráevaluada muy detenidamente para determinar su relevancia en el proceso dela acreditación. Las solicitudes para una entrevista de información pública deben realizarse por escrito y enviarse a la Comisión Conjunta. La Oficina de la Comisión Conjunta para el Monitoreo de Calidad darápor enterado, por escrito o por teléfono, las solicitudes que reciba 10 días antes que se inicie la encuesta. Un representante se pondráen contacto con el individuo que solicite la entrevista de información pública antes de la encuesta, indicando el lugar, fecha y hora de dicha entrevista incluyendo el nombre de la persona que llevaráa cabo la entrevista.
Este aviso se anuncióde acuerdo a los requisitos de la Camisón Conjunta y no se puede remover antes que la encuesta termine.
