Several public school districts are located within Sierra View District Hospital's service area. The most notable, Porterville Unified School District, includes over 20 elementary, middle, high schools and continuation schools. There are also several private schools in the area.
For those interested in pursuing a higher level of education, Porterville College offers associate degree programs and a variety of units that are transferrable towards a four-year degree. Two renowned California State University campuses are just a short drive away in Bakersfield and Fresno, respectively.
