Since nutritional care is an important part of the healing process, each meal prepared for our inpatients will be done so according to specific doctor's orders. Physicians may also change diet orders or delay meals until certain tests are performed or medications are administered.
A nutritional care team, which includes a registered dietician, coordinates all of out patients' meal services. We will always do everything in our power to make a patient's meal enjoyable while still meeting individual dietary restrictions. Patients may also ask to speak with a clinical dietician to discuss individual nutrition therapy and/or diet education needs.
Patient families or friends who would like to bring food from outside the facility must first get permission from a nurse or dietician to ensure that they meet the patient's dietary criteria.
