| Seven beds in our Med/Surg Department are operated in conjunction with Children's Hospital Central California, one of the top pediatric facilities in the country. Our pediatric nurses receive specialized training from the experts at Children's, meaning Sierra View can provide high levels of pediatric care right here in the Porterville area.
Sierra View's pediatric wing will care for all general pediatric medical patients not requiring pediatric subspecialty care. Those children requiring subspecialty care will continue to go to Children's Hospital in Madera.
Similar to the Children's Hospital campus in Madera, Sierra View's pediatrics unit features an animated jungle theme designed to create a welcoming environment for kids.
