Established in 1992, the Sierra View District Hospital Foundation is a non-profit 501c(3) organization, and a separate entity from the hospital. The Foundation is guided by a 17-member voluntary board of trustees made up of local community leaders.
The Foundation's mission is:
We will invest in our future by promoting community philanthropy, building lasting relationships and promoting a positive image of SVDH.
The Foundation's approach to this mission is three-fold, the first is to raise funds and awareness for the hospital through fundraising events such as our annual golf tournament and black-tie Gala dinner. We also encourage donors to leave a lasting legacy by including the SVDH Foundation in their will, charitable trusts, or estate plans. Finally, the Foundation is actively involved in seeking out grant opportunities that will expand and strengthen the health care services offered by the hospital.
