Sierra View's 24-hour Emergency Department (ED) is fully equipped to handle most medical emergencies. As the only full service emergency department within a 30-plus mile radius, Sierra View's ED is one of the busiest in the region, with over 50,000 visits annually.

Registered nurses trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) staff the department. They are assisted by trained vocational nurses, emergency technicians and support staff who receive continual training in the use of life saving equipment and techniques. Along with 24-hour access to laboratory, radiology, respiratory and other support services, physicians and physicians' assistants are also available 24 hours a day.
