The Rotary Christmas Tree Auction takes place each year in December at River Island Country Club in Springville. The event features beautifully decorated Christmas trees which are auctioned off to benefit various nonprofit organizations throughout the community.
Each year, the Sierra View District Hospital Foundation enters a tree in the auction to benefit programs and projects at the hospital. The 2010 proceeds went to the Sierra View Medical Center Human Resources Department to assist with an upcoming elctronic initiative. Currently the department is in the process of creating a complete electronic system for applications and employee benefits. To accomplish this goal, the department will be purchasing four public computers. The computers will be made available to community members wishing to apply for work who do not have computer access at home. They will also be utilized by Sierra View staff as a resource to input and update their benefits information.
