Visitor Information

• Masking Requirements: All patients, visitors and staff are still required to mask throughout all SVMC facilities.
• Proof of COVID-19 Testing or COVID-19 Vaccination is no longer required, as of 09/22/22

COVID-19 Testing Info

SVMC does not operate any public COVID-19 testing sites but testing sites are available in Porterville.

• COVID-19 Testing Locations: The following locations welcome walk-ins and also provide appointments.
  • Porterville College (Optum) (PCR and Antigen (Rapid): (Mondays - Wednesdays, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Scheduling: https://lhi.care/covidtesting.
  • Porterville Military Academy: (Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Scheduling: https://lhi.care/covidtesting.
  • Curative: Testing in areas near or within Porterville, depending on the day of the week. Scheduling: www.curative.com.

• COVID-19 Vaccination Sites: Walk-ins welcome, appointments recommended.

Reliable COVID-19 Information

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a virus that causes a respiratory illness.

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), “People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. Anyone can have mild to severe symptoms. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:

• Fever or chills
• Cough
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Fatigue
• Muscle or body aches
• Headache
• New loss of taste or smell
• Sore throat
• Congestion or runny nose
• Nausea or vomiting
• Diarrhea
