The Sierra View (SV) Foundation was established in 1992 as a non-profit 501c(3) organization. The Foundation is a separate entity from Sierra View Medical Center and is guided by a 17-member voluntary board of local community leaders.
The mission of the SV Foundation is primarily to invest in the future by promoting community philanthropy, building lasting relationships, and promoting a positive image of Sierra View Medical Center. The Foundation approaches this mission in three primary ways: Raising funds and awareness for the hospital, encouraging donors to have a lasting legacy, and seeking grant opportunities to expand and strengthen healthcare services.
Our clinical teams — doctors, nurses, technicians and support staff — are working around the clock to help patients with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
We are humbled by the generosity of the members of our community who have asked how they can help support our staff and patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. With your help, together we can make a difference in the lives of patients, healthcare workers and staff members right here at home in Porterville. Here are the ways you can help right now:
We have set up an Emergency Relief Fund and welcome your donations to help us combat COVID-19. Your gift can support the purchase of hospital supplies, protective gear for clinical staff, respiratory equipment; direct patient care services including; community prevention and outreach.
We are currently welcoming food deliveries from restaurants. Our teams are grateful for the kindness of our community in bringing warm meals to our facilities.

We will be happy to work with you to discover the best way for you to help our community through planned GIFTS and donations. We can also assist you in establishing recurring donations, and the Foundation encourages donors to include the SV Foundation in wills, trusts and estate plans to ensure long-standing relationships.
While events are on hold for the moment, the two key events for our Foundation have been the Annual Sierra View Golf Classic and the Annual Gala.
