When to Get Palliative Care
Outpatient Palliative Care is most beneficial when introduced early on. When cancer patients are ready to go home, the Palliative Care team provides services beyond the care given at the Cancer Treatment Center.
Palliative Care is patient and family centered care dedicated to helping patients and their loved ones cope with serious illness. Palliative care can be provided simultaneously with any other treatments and may begin early in the course of a serious or chronic illness.
