Stepping into 2022 as a Retiree

From volunteering through the SVMC Chaplaincy Department for 20 years to working as a devoted Switchboard Operator within the SVMC Communications Department for nearly ten years, the one and only, Patti Brown will be stepping into 2022 as a retiree.

Whether it be a patient, caregiver, family member or friend of a loved one who was seeking medical care here at our organization, Patti was one of the very first warm voices that greeted anyone seeking information over the phone. Reflecting on her time here at Sierra View, Patti sees her team and the people she works with as her work family and said, “It has been a good family to work with and I loved being able to connect people in order to help in answering their questions and get them the information they needed.”

As for her team, they will miss her dearly and she feels the same about the “dynamite team,” as she describes them. This team includes Communications Department Manager, Staci Bowles and Director, Marcy Wallace. Patti also mentioned that she will miss the people she worked with, staff who created the unique culture at SVMC, and she'll miss helping people, but she knows it’s time for her to slow down and stop to smell the roses.

Happy retirement Patti! Retirement is a time to look back with satisfaction. It’s a time to look ahead with anticipation, and it’s a time to fill each day with enjoyment. For just about a decade, you’ve worked at SVMC with dedication, giving 100% of yourself every day for our patients, visitors, community members and even staff. Now it’s time for you to enjoy more time in Springville working on home improvement projects, gardening and doing yardwork, crocheting, quilting and cooking for fun, all while listening to your favorite audio books! We hope you stop and smell the brightest and most fragrant roses that life brings your way.
