Getting Back to the Things You Love: Local Athlete Receives COVID-19 Vaccine

Playing soccer is something no athlete would want to put on hold. Zoe Rios is a freshman at West Hills Community College and a recent graduate of Monache High School. “In order for us to play college soccer, we have to get our vaccine,” she said. Way to go, Zoe!

If you, too, are looking to get back to the things you love, why not get your COVID-19 vaccine at our Community Vaccination Clinic located at the Porterville Veterans Memorial. While supplies last, you’ll once vaccinated, you’ll also receive a comfortable Sierra View Medical Center face mask!

To date, nearly 600 vaccines have been administered at the Community Vaccination Clinic in partnership with Tulare County Health & Human Services (TCHHSA). 

The SVMC-Imperial Ambulance team giving shots Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Available vaccine is Pfizer. Ages 12 and up are eligible. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Immigration status does not matter. There is English and Spanish speaking staff at the vaccination clinic.
