Sierra View Medical Center Announces Brandy Irwin as Chief Nursing Officer

Sierra View Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Brandy Irwin, MSN, RN, PHN as Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer. Brandy brings more than two decades of progressive nursing and healthcare leadership experience to this role and a deep, long-standing connection to Sierra View Medical Center. She began her career at Sierra View in 2002 and has worked her way up through the organization, gaining hands-on experience across clinical care, operations, and leadership. Her career progression reflects a strong commitment to patient-centered care, professional growth, and service to the community.

Most recently, serving as Administrative Director of Nursing and Interim Chief Nursing Officer, Brandy has provided oversight across patient care services, workforce development, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Throughout her tenure, she has led and supported key initiatives that strengthen nursing practice and patient safety, including the Care for the Caregiver (R.I.S.E.) program, DAISY Award program, Donor Network, Beta HEART, and Shared Governance efforts supporting Pathway to Excellence. Her leadership has been instrumental in advancing a Just Culture and aligning nursing operations with organizational priorities.

Brandy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and her Master of Science in Nursing Leadership from Western Governors University. She is currently completing her Doctorate of Nursing Leadership. Her professional affiliations include the Association of California Nurse Leaders and the American Organization for Nursing Leadership.

As Chief Nursing Officer, Brandy will continue to provide strategic leadership for nursing and patient care services, with a focus on quality, safety, workforce engagement, and the delivery of compassionate care to the communities Sierra View serves.
