Welcoming the First Baby of 2026!

Ringing in the new year is a little sweeter on the fourth floor of Sierra View Medical Center, where we celebrated the first baby of 2026! Monica Ortiz Reyes and Martin Bravo are the proud parents of the hospital’s 2026 New Year’s Baby, Ailany Valeria Bravo Ortiz. Baby Ailany joins her two siblings, John and Tadeo, making her arrival a joyful addition to the family.

The facility’s first baby of 2026 was delivered at 9:57 AM, weighing 8 pounds, 13 ounces, and measuring 20.5 inches long. Baby Ailany was late, with an original due date of December 29, 2025. The family arrived at Sierra View Medical Center around 4:00 PM on New Year’s Eve and welcomed their daughter just hours into the new year. The delivery was supported by nurse Regina and Dr. Geiling, who cared for the family during this special moment.

To commemorate the occasion, Sierra View Medical Center presented the family with a New Year’s Baby gift basket. The basket included newborn essentials such as swaddle sleep sacks, burp cloths, hooded baby towels, a Frida Baby Electric NoseFrida, and bibs, along with a few items for the family, including Sierra View Medical Center mugs, lip balm, hand sanitizer, a pen, a first aid kit, bandages, and a picture frame with a built-in charging pad.

The first baby born of the year is a meaningful tradition at the Sierra View Birth Center and a fun way to celebrate with the community. After celebrating her New Year’s Day arrival, Baby Ailany’s family is excited to take their healthy baby girl home and introduce her to eagerly awaiting loved ones.

Sierra View Medical Center extends heartfelt congratulations to Baby Ailany and her family and wishes them a future filled with love, laughter, and meaningful moments.
