Critical Care Services

As a full-service medical center, we provide treatment for patients who are critically ill or injured. Most of our critical care patients are transferred to our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) from our Emergency Department. Patients recovering from major and emergency surgiers are also cared for by our critical care team.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

At Sierra View Medical Center, we operate a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit equipped with leading edge technology and staffed with experienced doctors, nurses, and professionals. Our ICU staff is on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, to ensure our patients get the immediate and continuous medical care needed. We serve patients in need of life support and organ support, using advanced equipment including advanced respirators, ventilators, and intravenous therapies.

Telemetry

In conjunction with our Intensive Care Unit, we house a 20-bed Telemetry Department dedicated to patients who require continuous monitoring through the use of advanced measuring, recording, and transmitting devices. This advanced medical technology closely monitors a variety of vital signs and is designed to quickly alert care staff if the patient suffers an acute or dangerous change in condition.
