Tulare County Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman Dennis Townsend (D5) to Present District Certificate to Sean Roberts of Imperial Ambulance in Recognition of Outstanding Efforts in COVID-19 Pandemic

County of Tulare Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman Dennis Townsend visited our Community Vaccination Clinic this afternoon to present Imperial Ambulance Operations Manager Sean Roberts with a District Certificate in recognition of the outstanding efforts he and his team have put forth during the COVID-19 pandemic working with SVMC and the entire Porterville team and community in prevention, response and recovery efforts. He was joined by our CEO/President Donna Hefner and our Chief Nursing Officer Dr. Jeffery Hudson-Covolo.

As a paramedic himself, Sean brings 19 years of emergency services experience. He leads a team of 45 Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Paramedics to provide pre-hospital care to a service area including Porterville and surrounding communities. Throughout the pandemic, Imperial Ambulance has been a community vaccination partner for Sierra View Medical Center and the Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency, and Sean and team have played a key role in partnered vaccination efforts with City of Porterville and other community partners in addition to the role they play in the emergency services environment.

For his commitment to the health and safety of our community, we congratulate Sean and thank Imperial Ambulance for their deep sense of collaboration in providing safe and high-quality care for our patients. We also thank our community partners from Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency, City of Porterville (Mayor Flores and Councilmember Lawana Tate) and Porterville College (Dr. Claudia Habib and Associate Dean of Health Careers Kim Behrens) for joining us in celebrating Sean!
