After vaginal delivery, you will typically stay in the hospital for 24 - 48 hours after delivery. If you have a C-section, you will typically stay in the hospital for 48 - 72 hours after delivery.
After Delivery: Pill form, Injections, IV Medications
If either you or your baby need extra care after one of you has been medically cleared to leave the hospital, the person who's been discharged can stay in the room with the patient for comfort. Please note that this is based on room availability.
