
Background Check: How long does it take for the background check to clear?
It depends on how many places you have lived & worked, and how quickly we receive a response from your professional references and educational institutions. We will check in often and let you know if there is anything needed from you directly to expedite this process.
Background Check: Do I have to do anything to complete the background check?
Yes, the recruiter will initiate the background check through our third-party vendor Accurate Background Screening. You will receive an email from Accurate to begin the process. Please complete this process as soon as you receive the email to avoid any delays in your start date.
Physical Evaluation: How do I prepare for my physical?
This appointment will include a drug screen (if your job requires one), TB skin test, immunization screening and physical exam to confirm that you meet the physical requirements of the position. Please remember to hydrate in preparation for a urine drug screen and potential lab draws.
Physical Evaluation: If I haven’t had a TB test or Flu shot, do I need to get one before the physical appointment?
No, these will be administered at the time of your Day 1 – pre-employment health screening appointment. Although, if you’ve had a flu shot this season, or a TB test within the last 12 months, please bring the documentation along with you. All employees are required to complete a two-step TB test. The 2nd TB test must be done within 1 week from the first TB reading.
Physical Evaluation: What if I can’t find my immunization records?
If you do not have access to your “yellow card” or know where to locate your immunization records, a titer blood test will be performed to determine if you had previous infections and whether or not you need certain immunizations.
Vacation prior to start date: What if I am going on vacation before starting my position?
Please provide your plans to our Talent Acquisition Partner (559) 788-6079 asap so that the dates of vacation may be factored into the onboarding process.
HR Appointment: How do I dress for my HR Appointment?
Please come dressed professionally, as we will be taking a photo for your employee badge. If you feel more comfortable in a scrub uniform, that is welcomed.
HR Appointment: What documents do I bring for I9 purposes?
We must verify your identity and authorization to work in the United States. There are several acceptable documents you can bring for I9 purposes. We cannot legally advise you on what to bring. All documents presented must be unexpired. Please refer to the list of acceptable I-9 Documentation link below.
HR Appointment: What if my Driver’s License is expired?
Please note, your I9 documents cannot be expired. Please visit your local DMV or you may be eligible to renew it online. Please bring the receipt of renewal to your onboarding appointment.
Schedule: How do I find out about my work schedule and where to report on my first day?
Your supervisor will go over your work schedule with you during your Day 2 onboarding appointment or prior to your start date and where to report on your first day. Contact our Talent Acquisition Assistant at (559) 788-6036 if you have any questions or concerns.
Scrub: Is there a particular color of scrubs that I need to purchase?
The majority of the departments/units do not require a particular color uniform. Denim and Camouflage are not permitted. Some departments do require a special uniform and will provide to employees upon start in the department. Covid-19 Vaccine: Is it mandatory to get the Covid-19 vaccine?
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration requires all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or request for a religious or medical exemption. Unvaccinated employees must be tested on a weekly basis and have a negative test before coming to work.
Covid-19 Vaccine: How long do I have to receive the Covid-19 vaccine if I have never received it?
You will have 10 days from your start date to receive the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Covid-19 Vaccine: I have only received one dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, how long do I have to receive the second dose?
You have 10 days from your start date to receive the second dose if it’s been more than 21 days since you have received the first dose of the Pfizer, or more than 28 days since you have received the first dose of the Moderna.
Covid-19 Vaccine: How long do I have to receive the Covid-19 booster?
You have 10 days from your start date to receive the Covid-19 booster if it’s been 6 months or more from your last Covid-19 vaccine.
Covid-19 Vaccine: What if I refuse to receive the Covid-19 vaccine?
You have to request and sign a medical or religious exemption form and turn the completed form to Employee Health Department by your start date. Links to forms are available below.
